My toddler was feeling really awful, and Carley went above and beyond to help make him comfortable and happy. She was excellent at delivering his oral medications so that he would actually swallow them. Later, he vomited all over the place. We had come to the ED in a hurry, so I didn’t have extra clothes for him, no wipes, nothing. She cleaned his bed and the floor, got some wipes to get him cleaned off, and brought him a hospital gown to wear. I felt awful because I didn’t see it coming and didn’t get him over the trash can, but she repeatedly assured me that it was no big deal. She did all of this with a smile on her face and the friendliest demeanor. I know I’ve never been as happy to clean up vomit. She’s a superstar. She engaged with my son and explained what she was going to do, even though he’s probably too young to understand much. I really appreciated her treating him like his thoughts and feelings were important. She also answered my questions before I even asked. It was like she could read my mind. Without her, we may have had a much more stressful experience. Thank you for taking such great care of my baby boy, Carley! We will never forget you.
