Carmen has been an amazing caregiver to my sister. She is constantly asking what, if anything, she needs, and what can she do to make her feel better.Carmen is very efficient in her work and thorough. It is obvious that she truly has sympathy for her patients and is very courteous with the family members. Carmen is the ideal caregiver all patients deserve.All our family noticed her patience and care for our sister. Carmen has been with us since 1993. She is an experienced ICU Nurse and provides high quality critical care to her patients. She is a leader and role model for her peers on the night shift. She is also a mentor to many of our new nursing staff. Carmen is a patient care advocate; she is attentive to her patients and communicates with their families to ensure they understand the daily plan of care. She is bilingual and as a result she often helps the physicians and her peers to communicate with Spanish-speaking patients and their families. She is a very creative nurse. She created the 4C Family Tree poster which hangs on our unit and she also makes gifts for the staff; she is a very giving person. Carmen is also a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and shares her creative talents with her grandchildren.
