I found Carol to be kind, compassionate, hard-working, thoughtful, attentive, and knowledgeable.
I spent the greater part of my day in Day Surgery as I had to undergo an outpatient EP procedure. I am amidst a particularly trying stretch in life that has included a very recent radical prostatectomy from which I have had a rough recovery that has included a number of complications. I was diagnosed with Atrial Flutter as part of my pre-op evaluation and came in today for an RFA by my doctor and his excellent team. I was in Day Surgery for two hours prior to the procedure and for four hours afterward. Carol cared for me throughout those 6 hours. I found Carol to be kind, compassionate, hard-working, thoughtful, attentive, and knowledgeable. Given that I had quite significant urinary incontinence stemming from my recent urologic procedure (both humbling and embarrassing), I was what I’d call a high-maintenance patient in that my needs exceeded those of most other patients. Although I was frustrated with the situation that the incontinence created, Carol made it seem like no big deal and showed up with extra diapers, pads, wipes, etc., in order to help me meet my needs and stay clean and dry. Her gentle and thoughtful approach helped me maintain my dignity despite the less-than-ideal circumstances. She also helped me order some food mid-afternoon as I had eaten nothing all day. Thank you, Carol!
