Carol Dean has had a passion for the delivery of excellent nursing care ever since I have known her and started working with her. She embodies the cultural beliefs of being one, personalizing care and innovation. Carol has been long involved with our Share program and volunteers much of her time to support our patients and families of the tri-states who have experienced a pregnancy or infant loss.
Each month without fail, Carol is at every single Share meeting, not to mention other Share events that are planned outside of monthly meetings. When it was budgeted that only two staff members could go to a Share meeting, Carol volunteered to attend without being paid. Carol constantly strives to improve the lives of every Share family. Carol seeks out different foundations in order to make care packages for families who have suffered a loss. These care packages often include keepsakes that the family may receive after they have experienced a loss. She is always thinking of more ways we can help support our Share families.
Carol also played a large role in helping us with our new cuddle cot and teaching staff and families about the cuddle cot. A cuddle cot is a cooling cot that allows families to spend a longer amount of time with their loved one who has passed. Carol's compassion and expertise had helped so many families. She really goes above and beyond to make sure no pregnancy or infant loss is forgotten.
