My mother was diagnosed with cancer in December 2023. I first “met” nurse Caroline Croezen by phone! I met Caroline in person at my mam's first outpatient tests after the first round of chemotherapy. I instantly liked Caroline. I have never met any oncology nurses before Caroline. But instantly I could see she was thorough, knowledgeable and so friendly!!

Her “absolute” demeanour was so comforting. I knew when Mam was in her care, Mam was safe! She is an absolute angel on earth. Caroline has answered every single text and call, I have bothered her with. No matter what I worry about or ask about, Caroline has an answer or remedy. Be it, come straight back to hospital, check with other pharmacies for Mam’s steroids, Caroline is absolutely correct. I eventually got what my Mam needed by persevering in chemists. All for my Mam's wellbeing!

My close friends who lost very close family members to cancer have praised Nurse Caroline (as in all my family and friends call Caroline).

Myself, my family, my mother and my friends cannot say enough good, wonderful things about Caroline. My friends say always “they wish they had a nurse Caroline in their corner when their family members were sick and dying of cancer to have a person and angel in their corner” like we have!

They know what my Mam is going through and realise how much a God send Caroline is to have her batting for us every step of the way. She is our absolute hero, and we couldn’t manage this process and/or treatment without Caroline at the end of a call every step of our way!

Thank you to all the staff at St James’s Hospital, especially Oncology. Caroline Croezen was handpicked for her calling/job. She is amazing. Thank you, Caroline.
