My Daughter had a bad fall and fractured her left foot and right tib/fib. She was in a huge amount of pain and terrified of having surgery and being under anesthesia. I know Caroline from work and was glad when she came to check my daughter in for surgery. She was so calm, sweet, and comforting to my daughter and all of us. I told Caroline how scared our daughter was about surgery and anesthesia and told her that I needed her to be the mom to my daughter as she went to sleep in the OR. Caroline assured me she would take care of her. 
    
After surgery, the only things my daughter could recall clearly from the time before surgery were panicking when she was taken to the OR and having Caroline stand over her and keep her hands on her, making her feel safe and keeping her calm.
    
Caroline told her that she was there to be her OR mom and that she was going to be ok. Our daughter went to sleep calm and relaxed thanks to Caroline being there, making a terrifying day so much better.
    
This was the one thing our child could recall from a terrible day and it made all the difference to our family.
