Carrie went above the call of duty to support me emotionally and physically. Making sure all my needs were met
Everything about my labor and delivery went very wrong. I was feeling sad and defeated when Carrie Bews came along. She was beaming with contagious positivity and knowledge. She always has all the answers; even when she doesn’t, she goes above and beyond to find them. Carrie went above the call of duty to support me emotionally and physically. Making sure all my needs were met and we were doing everything to work towards my dreams of breastfeeding. She made a care plan for everything that happened and everything we were doing to achieve our goals. She has made such a huge impact on my life and my whole family. We are forever grateful for her dedication, time, and advocacy. She turned a dark and scary time into one of hope, love, and light. If not for Carrie, I am not sure I would return to this hospital.

When my wife and I were dealing with an already difficult birth and delivery, as well as an extended stay in the hospital, Carrie was a ray of light. She helped us learn and understand how to start breastfeeding and pumping and also connected us with resources on how to accumulate breast milk while we waited for my wife' to come in. Even after our time ran out with the milk bank, she supported us in finding other potential donor matches in our area to facilitate my and my wife's desire to give our baby breast milk over formula, which gave the baby horrible gas and stomach pains. Becoming a first-time parent is already scary enough, and having feeding issues, breast milk shortness, and an uncomfortable baby was so much more than we had planned for. Carrie made things so much easier, helped us understand our options, and did so with unwavering patience and kindness.
