The therapy staff have always noticed how caring and attentive Carsha is with our patients. Recently, we received a patient with dementia who needed one-on-one supervision to roam the halls for several hours. Carsha selflessly stepped up and treated the patient with dignity, never complaining or disparaging the patient to others. Carsha’s calm demeanor and soothing tone de-escalated the situation and made the patient feel taken care of and comfortable. We therapists were able to help out for a period of time, but when we had to leave for other responsibilities, Carsha immediately settled back in to supervise the patient again. We have seen time and time again Carsha treating all patients and coworkers with patience and gratitude, even when we can see that she is in the middle of a busy med pass. We are inspired by her constant professionalism and believe she should be recognized and appreciated for this.
