Nurse Caryl was so helpful to my Uncle and the whole family. He was here diagnosed with cancer, unable to eat or drink, and waiting for surgery. Nurse Caryl always came in with a smile, always ready and willing to accommodate even the smallest request. You could tell she genuinely cared. Uncle has a terminal diagnosis and his family has been by his side for months. Other extended family and I finally were able to visit and saw a family desperate need of rest, care, and respite. Caryl was a breath of fresh air and so joyful, comforting, and helpful. He really liked and appreciated all the hard work she did in making sure we stayed updated on the long-awaited surgery.
Thank you, Caryl. You are one in a million, and keep up the good work! Tired families so appreciate excellent nursing and a caring attitude; you do both in abundance!

Caryl is a valuable asset in StepDown. She's one of our newest members yet she showed her ability to adapt quickly to our higher acuity unit. She's a team player, never complains regardless of how many times she transfers, admits, or discharges a patient. Her peers, RNs and CNAs alike, love working with her.
I remember her receiving a big basket of goodies from a patient's family as a token of appreciation for the excellent care she provided to the patient. Then, I realized it wasn't her patient, she was just helping out, but because she helped the patient so much, answered the call light frequently, they recognized her dedication to her profession: a kind, caring, and compassionate nurse.
For Caryl, there's no such thing as 'not my patient', but all patients are ours and we are a TEAM.
