My husband and I welcomed our second daughter last July. I was lucky enough to have Casey as my labor nurse. She helped me stick to my plan of having an un-medicated delivery by providing me with support verbally, physically, and emotionally. She offered suggestions for new coping techniques when others were no longer working. When I was feeling defeated and ready to ask for an epidural, she provided me with reassurance and instilled the confidence I needed to accomplish my goal. After delivery, Casey made sure our older daughter was the first person in the room to meet her baby sister. Casey picked up my phone and took pictures of everything. She captured my husband holding our older daughter, as they watched the new baby learn to nurse, my mom smiling over me and my newborn as she lay skin to skin, and my daughter gently holding her sister's tiny hand. Some of these moments I would not have known happened if not for Casey capturing them for me to see later. Thank you for being my cheerleader, my photographer, my exceptional nurse.
