She jumped right in as soon as she saw my name on the board. I was admitted for surgery a few days later, and Casey stayed after her shift to help me. She was so encouraging and kind.
I met Casey on my first hospital stay. She went above and beyond to help me. I had a visitor, my boss, who came to see me and wanted me to work. I had just got back to the room and coming off of anesthesia. Casey intervened. I was very weak from not being able to keep anything down. Casey helped me and had her leave. She stayed with me to make sure I was ok. Casey remembered my granddaughter's name and everything about her that was important to me.

When I was admitted again a month later, she had her own patients, and her workload was heavy. She worked tirelessly to get my Picc Line back up. This required hours and patience. She jumped right in as soon as she saw my name on the board. I was admitted for surgery a few days later, and Casey stayed after her shift to help me. She was so encouraging and kind. And once again, she remembered everything about my granddaughter. I have raised my granddaughter since she was a baby coming home from NICU. Casey showed and proved to me there are people who truly care; it’s more than a job and a paycheck.

Her passion for her patients (me) when they are falling apart means everything to me. I can’t say enough good things about her. She cared when I needed it the most, even staying over to make sure I was comfortable and doing well. L and Casey truly stand out. They care. They really care. It shows through their hard work and dedication. It can be very busy, and everything is falling apart, or everyone needs something, but each patient is their own person. When they are with you, they are with you. It’s about the patient at the moment. There is never any frustration with them. Their personalities and charisma make the stay at Hillcrest like a second home. I would tell anyone to come here. These two nurses changed my outlook on life, hospitals, and made my journey to recovery a thousand times better.
