As a member of the professional development council, Cecilia assumed the role of the DAISY Program Coordinator in 2018 and has maintained the program throughout the pandemic. Cecilia has worked tirelessly to recognize the nurses at Inova Fair Oaks who provide exceptional care. Cecilia provides an environment where compassion is valued and recognized for its impact on patient care.

Through her work on promoting the DAISY program, she has created an environment where compassion and caring are respected and recognized. Cecilia actively engages in the recognition of great nurses. She works hard to make the event special for nurses, leaders, and team members on the unit. She has been known to bake and create wonderful celebrations! Her passion for the program shines through in all that she does. From the handmade decorations for the event to her personalized award presentations, Cecilia goes above and beyond to promote nursing and highlight nursing’s contributions to patients at Inova Fair Oaks.

Cecilia has worked over the last five years to celebrate the exceptional work nurses do at IFOH. Her work creates joy and a positive work environment for DAISY Award recipients, those who attend the ceremony, and all team members.

In her tenure leading the DAISY program, Cecilia has served to inspire us all to shine a little brighter. The impact this will have on nurses throughout Fair Oaks, and their patients is untold. She truly makes a difference.
