While my grandson was in the NICU, we received excellent care and compassion, but there is one nurse who stood out above all the rest, Chaney Ellis. Chaney was assigned to us for three consecutive days during our 26-day stay. The second day on this journey, Chaney became our advocate, our counselor, our encourager, our angel. We truly believe that Chaney was with us by divine appointment, she became everything we needed in those tumultuous hours. But, it didn't stop there!!! Every day that Chaney was at work after that, she checked on us and my grandson. She would not be assigned to his care again, but she cared for us every day that she was at work. We will forever be grateful for Chaney and will always remember her as our angel. Chaney is truly an Extraordinary Nurse.
