Charette Dellagatta demonstrates daily the core of who we all at CHRISTUS should strive to be. I see time and time again her going the extra mile for our Cardiac Rehab patients. She demonstrates excellence in the way she formulates her education strategies and she always ensures our patients have been well educated. She doesn't just teach secondary prevention, she also focuses on primary prevention which is so important to cardiac health. She stewards her time and resources very professionally. No matter how demanding her role becomes, she always demonstrates a positive attitude. Her compassion for our patients is so evident in the time she spends ensuring each patient receives the care he/she deserves. I never have to wonder if Charette is passionate about Cardiac Rehab! Her actions simply demonstrate it!

We have many patients who live in rural areas of the Ark-La-Tex and can't always make the drive into our outpatient program. Charette spends valuable time researching possible facilities near the patient's home that will meet the his/her needs. If a patient is unable to drive and therefore unable to attend Cardiac Rehab, Charette is filling out a Lift Line application for the patient! I have had numerous patients come into our outpatient facility bragging on the depth of risk factor information given to them in the hospital. I know that time is often precious in her busy days, but she never forfeits time spent ensuring our patients get the care they deserve. Charette is indeed an amazing asset to our program and certainly deserves the DAISY Award recognition!

Charette is an incredible resource and advocate for Cardiac Rehab dealing with all our Phase 1 patients. She works tirelessly, daily ensuring these patients receive the best care they deserve and educating them on outpatient cardiac rehab and what to expect. She also assists in educating our physicians on the benefits of cardiac rehab for their patients. Patients and staff love her passion and skills. She is a truly valuable member of the team and organization. Cannot say enough good things about Charette.
