Here is my story: My patient who was admitted to the Chemotherapy unit was a VIP patient. It was challenging because she emphasized that she just wanted one puncture for the IV insertion and her vein was fragile and less stable and sometimes there was no backflow of blood. Amazingly, with the grace of God, we were able to complete the 8 sessions with her wish granted. I tried to attend to her needs in the best way I could, especially when the effects of medicines started to irritate her. Meeting her needs made her stay and enjoy our company. After her therapy, she comes to our unit every 6 months for injection for the prevention of bone problems. Seeing my patient safe with the therapy and happy with my services adds strength and joy to my heart. Moreover, receiving appreciation and gratitude from her relatives inspires me more.
