Charlena was twice deserving of The DAISY Award as she had 2 patients in a very short time share their stories involving her.
Both submissions made a point of mentioning her great personality, described as "super personable and friendly" and "not afraid to laugh." One patient wrote that Charlena is "always smiling and always striving to make you smile!"
Beyond her approachability and authenticity, each recognized her as being knowledgeable. She is "so smart and detailed oriented," wrote the patient. Charlena had identified that the patient was taking home medications incorrectly…something that had gone unnoticed until Charlena took a closer look at the patient's medication bottles.
Described as a "superstar" and a "real diamond" both patients wrote that the hospital was lucky to have her. Thank you Charlena!
