My dad came in for cataract surgery on his right eye in October. He was nervous and didn’t know what to expect. Charles was patient and took the time to explicitly explain everything about the procedure before, during and after. He had a great personality and connected well with his patient. He had a wonderful way of talking through everything step by step, which was very calming for my dad. My dad loved the funny phrases he used, like “I’m going to knock on the door and see who is home”. He was always willing to go above and beyond to answer the many questions we had. He was detailed with information. During recovery, he gave my dad some great advice, tips, and tricks to help in the recovery process. He did an excellent job of calming my dad for his surgery.

My dad returned in November for his second surgery. The whole morning, he wondered who his nurse would be. When we walked in, Charles was there and remembered him. It was such a comfort for my dad. Even though he wasn’t assigned to my dad this time, he checked in on him. He went above and beyond to come and assist him with the IV again, knowing the difficult time the nurse had last time. You could see the smile on my dad’s face when he came over. He made our stay more comforting
