I have had the pleasure of working with Chelsea Brouillet for one year now. I have seen her in the role of nurse, charge nurse, my preceptor, and now ANM on my unit and she excels in every task she is given. Never hesitating to go out of her way to make a patient feel special or give the extended one-on-one attention they need, especially to our long term patients. She is a wonderful teacher and a prime example of the DAISY Award Nurse.
Chelsea is patient and always willing to help, even when you know she has a lot on her plate. Her calming and positive demeanor instills confidence and reassurance in even the newest nurse or team member, especially during a critical situation. She strives for unit excellence by constantly working to improve patient outcomes, hourly rounding, tap out compliance, and more. I couldn't have asked for a better mentor, friend, leader, and teacher. She is a model example and we are lucky to have her.
Chelsea is always willing to help, asks frequently if her staff is doing okay, and if she can do anything for them. She is an awesome educator with great knowledge and takes the time to teach and is always looking for ways to help nurses see and learn new experiences on the floor. Recently, she asked another nurse's patient if I could come in and see an extensive wound, something that was so unusual. She is the type of nurse that others aspire to be like with her positive attitude and patient, listening ear. She is truly a blessing to our team.
