As we age, so do our parents. And when they become ill, it’s our job to make sure they receive the best care possible. For this DAISY nominator, having Cherry Bergquam as his mother’s nurse was just what the doctor ordered.
Cherry went above and beyond for this 95-year-old patient who had physical complications, but mentally was still strong. Cherry worked with her patient and the family, explaining every detail about arrangements needed for care, and making extra phone calls to facilitate the situation.
“Cherry is a great ambassador for Saint Agnes,” her nominator said. “Her people skills are tremendous, her organizational skills and thoughtfulness during our stay gave my family confidence and peace during my mother’s stay … she is the best!”
