Written by a patient’s daughter…
Cheryl has taken care of my dad for 3 days in a row in NeuroICU. Each day she exemplifies each of the criteria for the DAISY Award. Most importantly to our family, she takes care of dad as if he were her own family member-she is kind, gentle, compassionate and respectful to him. On top of that, she is an excellent nurse and he has not wanted for a thing in her care. We love seeing her get excited as he improves and it makes us feel very supported as well. She has been patient and understanding. She explains all the various meds, procedures, etc. both to us and Dad. She is tireless in her commitment to giving Dad the best care. We are eternally grateful for her care and support. She should receive this honor!!!
