Chris Baker is an amazing nurse. She exemplifies everything that CoxHealth wants in a nurse. She is responsive and caring to all her patients. She inspires others with her teamwork and willingness to help when needed. Chris always goes above and beyond for her patients. In one case, however, I believe she deserves a little more recognition for her compassion.
Chris helped take care of a patient who was homeless, and she saw an opportunity to help. The patient was going to be discharged and really wanted to be able to travel to his daughter's home out of state. Chris decided that she would purchase this patient a bus ticket, so he could go home to his daughter. That patient was incredibly thankful.
Of course, this is nothing out of the ordinary for Chris. She often finds special ways to help her patients or put them at ease. She is always so compassionate with her patients and they can really feel a special connection to her. She works hard and helps others to be inspired to do the same. Being a nurse is her passion! She is a credit to the nursing profession and we are all incredibly grateful to be working with her.
