The surgeon had been in to see me and what he explained to me scared me. I was crying and praying for comfort that we only get by prayer. My night nurse walks in with the day nurse to change shifts and that person was Chrishan. I instantly felt as if she was an answer to my request. I felt so comforted and at ease. Chrishan made me feel like everything was going to be okay. She prepared me for surgery and laughed with me as she got my body and heart ready for surgery. I was thankful that she was the one who would be taking care of me after surgery. I feel like she was a part of the ease I felt in the cath lab and also my recovery just making it so easy to follow guidelines that seemed impossible to meet. Having Chrishan made my stay here pleasant and I will think of her when I think of the surgery and the team involved in saving my life and making it possible for me to leave this hospital today.
