I'm often in the hospital with complications and chronic pain due to a terminal illness. I come here with extreme pain and uncontrollable blood pressure. I experienced a delay with a physician who was scheduled to see me. At shift change, I still did not have any relief. After several days, the nurse was my savior. She was very compassionate and immediately called the doctor and got me back on my medications. She helped me feel less anxious. She is truly an ANGEL. Her compassionate care and her knowledge and willingness to listen makes her a HERO. I have spent most of my life in hospitals. For 29 of my 38 years, my life has been filled with visits from various complications from systemic lupus and end-stage renal disease, so I have met many nurses. This nurse is wonderful. I have had a great experience in the hospital because she took the time to make me feel better and she encouraged me to walk. I could walk without pain and I felt happier because she took the time to make sure I was OK mentally, not just physically.
