My grandfather was a patient on the fifth floor as a comfort measures patient. Crissy took such good care of him several times during his time at Beebe and was always so caring, kind, and compassionate not only towards my grandfather but also to my grandmother and other family members. I live in another state and it was very wearing on my mind that I was not able to be there at the hospital with my grandfather right away when he was in the hospital; however, from the moment I arrived in his room, Crissy put my mind at ease through her presence and her remarkable care. Words cannot express how grateful I am to her for everything she did for my grandfather and the entire family. She was so calming to my grandfather, grandmother, father, and me. She was so gentle and patient with him and the entire family. She would always check on us and go out of her way to make sure that my grandfather was comfortable as well as address any concerns or questions we had as the family. She would always say goodbye to all of us and my grandfather whenever she left for the evening. The last shift that he took care of him, just before he passed away, she gave all of us hugs and she cried with all of us. She told us that, "It feels like I have known him all of my life, he is such a gentle kind man." That action and her care speak volumes about Crissy not only as a person but as a nurse. I am a nurse and I am so thankful to have had a nurse of this caliber caring for my grandfather and our family during a very emotionally trying time. Crissy is one of the many nurses, techs, and medical staff who made my grandfather's passing comfortable and peaceful; however, Crissy, to me personifies every attribute of a truly exceptional nurse.
