I would like to nominate Christina Maness for the DAISY Award to recognize the exceptional care and dedication she brings to her patients.  She embodies everything a nurse should be – compassionate, thoughtful, and deeply committed to the well-being of those she cares for.

One particular instance stands out, showing how far she goes beyond expectations.  After a long shift, instead of heading home, Christina stopped by a patient’s house to personally review their medications.  She wanted to ensure they were taking the right medications and understood how to manage them correctly.  She found out he was taking two different scripts for the same blood pressure medication.  This level of care and concern for her patients' safety, even outside of work, is a testament to her selflessness and dedication.

Her patients love her, and it is clear why.  She makes my job as a physician more manageable, and I am happy she is part of my team.  She not only attends to their physical needs but also provides emotional support, making them feel valued and heard.
