The nurse who composed the nomination started by saying “Christine is doing amazing work.” She went on to say, “Christine is doing cutting edge work in creating programming, and Franciscan will be on the forefront of making sure moms are healthy to care for their families.” She added that a Perinatal Advocacy program Christine created locally will be shared across the state and likely will be endorsed as programming on a national level.

The nominator gave multiple examples of Christine’s influential work. One reads “Christine knew we could provide safer care with new technology. She created a business case for corporate and was successful in getting an e-tools program implanted across the system.” 

Other statements include, “Christine has a passion for nursing the maternal child family. This is evidenced by her time spent influencing organizational change, the time she spends reviewing charts for ways to improve outcomes, and the ways she rounds with staff and patients to ensure everyone knows and gets the BEST care. Christine is doing work of excellence. Moms ARE safer, and babies WILL survive because of her.” We thank Christine for embodying our Franciscan values in her work every day.
