Christine’s astute attention to detail and ability to know about each program in her area demonstrates her complete dedication to the organization and her employees.
As Chief of Quality, Safety, and Value, she has oversight of Patient Safety, Patient Safe Handling and Mobility, Risk Management, Accreditation, and Clinical Practice Guidelines. Christine promotes idea-sharing, collaboration, and feedback to drive innovation and process improvement. Since her arrival, she has engaged staff utilizing the AES results and this fiscal year implemented a weekly innovation idea segment to our daily service huddle with 100% staff engagement. The segment allows staff to share their innovative ideas which fosters staff morale and a culture of innovation, collaboration, and process improvement within our service.
Christine’s astute attention to detail and ability to know about each program in her area demonstrates her complete dedication to the organization and her employees. She was the driving force for maintaining healthcare accreditation during the 2022 Joint Commission survey. Her expert knowledge and oversight demonstrated proven compliance with standards techniques and identified gaps//opportunities for improvement.
She always takes time for each of her employees every day through personal interactions through active listening, empathy, commitment, and trust with each of her staff members. She continually recognizes and empowers her QSV staff for their positive contributions. This recognition improves engagement and morale in our department. Christine continually promotes and supports harassment-free workspaces to ensure inclusion, diversity, equity, and access.
Christine’s outstanding ability to problem solve through quick critical thinking skills has been demonstrated during past inspections with last-minute changes from the different inspection entities. Christine is always available to her staff for any personal or professional issues that arise. She is an excellent active listener who is non-judgmental and assists with solution development for all issues that arise.
Christine leads from the front as evidenced by her professionalism, dedication to Veteran service, and concern for her staff and the organization. Christine’s leadership and attention to detail should be emulated by all.
