Christyn is a competent and highly reliable RN who is dedicated and devoted to providing safe and efficient patient care. In the 3 and a half years she has been employed as an RN at ZHH, she has shown passion for the job and to her patients, she is able to anticipate and meet their needs. She acts as a role model for others by displaying extraordinary productivity in work results, especially under pressure.

I am most impressed with her excellent nursing assessment skills which were demonstrated when she deemed a patient was in need of further evaluation of his upper extremity. After removing a bandage from the patient's wound, her findings were of a hot, raised and swollen upper extremity that was not detected by other healthcare professionals on her unit. As a result of her findings the patient was transferred to the LIJ ED; upon further assessment it was found that the patient had a remaining foreign body embedded in the wound of his arm. The patient was subsequently admitted to LIJ for further medical interventions and treatment. Due to her astute assessment and findings, this patient was able to receive the appropriate treatment in a timely manner.
