Late at night, my daughter had a sudden onset of symptoms that we needed help. Being in a community with a small critical-access hospital and no 24-hour pharmacy, I was not sure what I should do to help my daughter. I called the local ED to see if they had the medication needed to help her, and they said, "We can't give you any medical advice. I will transfer you," and I was transferred to the RN triage line. I am so thankful that Ciara Keyster was the nurse who answered. She was so kind, understanding, very efficient, and she calmed my nerves tremendously. She went above and beyond by offering to call the ED to see if they had the medication that my daughter needed. By doing this extra step, she prevented an unnecessary ED visit- which I am so thankful for. She was able to schedule her for an appointment first thing the next morning at her PCP office. She provided great advice to help her symptoms until we could be seen. I am so appreciative of the care that was given and the great experience we had.
