Every nurse we had the pleasure of receiving care from was amazing in her own way, but during my second day of recovering from a C-Section, I was not an easy patient to care for and having Cindi care for us was the most profound blessing my baby and I could have received that day. After laboring for 20 hours and receiving a c-section, my husband and I were absolutely exhausted. I had to send him home to get some real sleep because at least one of us needed to be able to think! I was here with my newborn, trying my best to figure out being a mommy while being deliriously tired. I was very emotional, and missing my own mother, who passed away of cancer 6 years ago.
It seemed like a very busy day on this floor, but Cindi made me feel like I was her only patient. I needed a nurturing personality, and my baby needed a nurse who loves babies. Cindi was so amazing - I was able to entrust the new love of my life with her while I got a couple hours of much needed sleep. She took time to explain everything that I needed to do for myself and my baby. She went over what she was doing more than once as I was over-tired and not able to process everything right away. Having Cindi care for us was the closest thing to having my mom there with me that day- giving advice, showing me how to hold my newborn, and giving me a feeding tip that saved my sanity, right when I needed it.
My husband and I were so thankful to have received the best care from every nurse here, but Cindi's nurturing personality and her love for babies shines through in every little thing she does, and I am so blessed to have received her care.
