Claire felt like a professional friend who listened with open ears and spoke the right words.
No words can express enough for all that Claire did for me on my journey to motherhood. Navigating the maternity system as a midwife was much harder than I could have imagined. Being exposed to a lot in my career, it became apparent I was struggling with certain situations throughout my pregnancy. The support, guidance, and knowledge of Claire were invaluable, she eased my worries from the moment we first spoke. Her presence and woman-centered approach to care made me feel so safe. Discussions regarding screening, scans, and induction of labour were all sensitively delivered and with quality evidence provided, I was able to confidently make decisions.

There was never any judgment, just support and empowerment. Claire felt like a professional friend who listened with open ears and spoke the right words. Due to complications post-dates, I made the decision to give birth in hospital. Although not born at home, my son’s birth was as close to it as we could have wanted, it was a positive experience. Part of this, I believe, was down to Claire empowering me throughout my pregnancy to make decisions that were right for me.

My postnatal recovery was initially difficult. Claire regularly checked in to ensure I was coping physically and emotionally. The continuity of care I received was outstanding. Claire is an asset to the midwifery profession. Her passion for physiological birth is admirable and she delivers this in a way where safety is paramount. Thank you so much Claire for the gold-standard care provided to me.
