My son was born 14 weeks early and spent 125 days in the NICU. I truly believe without Claudia, his primary nurse, we may not have our son home with us today. Claudia exemplifies all the qualities of an amazing nurse. She not only took amazing care of my son while in the NICU but she also took care of me. She was there for our family as we went through one of the hardest times of our life. She educated us and I knew I could talk to her about anything. When we had to go back to work I knew that she would be an advocate for my son and his best interests. Claudia went way above and beyond when my son was at his worst. She would pick up extra shifts just to be able to be there with him. To me, she is now much more than a NICU nurse, but part of our family. To say she has touched our lives forever just isn't enough.
