Connie Burton developed a relationship with my husband, demonstrated clinical skill, compassionate care, exceptional service, and a commitment to excellence. Connie covered him with prayer, encouraged us to walk in his healing instead of his illness, listened to his bragging rights as a father and grandfather, comforted him when he faltered in his faith, let him cry, came even when we didn't call, always demonstrated an upbeat and positive attitude, and answered our questions. She comforted us when we went to hospice and most of all she was honest in answering every question. She liked us and we weren't just another patient on her list.
Connie didn't just treat the patient but pulled me in and included me, considered me as his partner and spouse, and my efforts to be certain he was getting the best consideration and care from everyone at Mercy.
