Ms. Gober was also instrumental in achieving a commendation for CCU performance in the Telestroke Mock Code Stroke, which was conducted in preparation for National Telestroke Program activation.
Ms. Cory Gober is the senior nurse manager for the Acute Care Service Line. Ms. Gober has been with the VA for >4 years as a CCU Nurse Manager. Ms. Gober exemplifies the essence of skilled nursing leadership, positively impacting staff and veterans. Ms. Gober is a consistent source of support and guidance for the CCU team.
Ms. Gober has facilitated several initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes in the CCU and across the Acute Care service line. Under her leadership, the CCU has improved significantly in performance improvement metrics, with a zero CLABSI and CAUTI rate for FY2024. Ms. Gober was also instrumental in achieving a commendation for CCU performance in the Telestroke Mock Code Stroke, which was conducted in preparation for National Telestroke Program activation.
Ms. Gober has worked diligently over the past 2 years to complete her advanced degree, receiving her MSN in July 2024. Ms. Gober is active in shared governance as the recorder for the Nursing – Quality Subcommittee. Ms. Gober is spearheading the adoption of the AMT bridle to improve the safety of our veterans. It is my pleasure to work with Ms. Gober. I am honored to serve as her leader and to work with her as a colleague.
