She likes to learn and is very curious about medical literature; she looks up things on the internet and gives necessary advice to providers regarding patient care.
I have known Courtney for the past year. I have been impressed by her dedication and hard work. She is very proactive about her daily assignments. She anticipates the next important steps for the clinical encounter and carries them intelligently. When it comes to her daily tasks given by providers she does them with all her efforts and dedication. This includes going through complex data when patients get discharged from the hospital, contacting them, and booking necessary follow-up appointments for them. She likes to learn and is very curious about medical literature; she looks up things on the internet and gives necessary advice to providers regarding patient care. Recently, she gave me good nursing insight about using injectable preexposure prophylaxis for HIV patients. Even during her allotted break time, if there is an urgent need, she doesn’t hesitate to help us out.
I want to mention two recent incidents where she showed her helping and curious nature. I had a new patient recently who came in to establish care; during the interview he was found to be in a hypertensive emergency. Even without asking, she started helping me on the case, took the patient’s blood pressure manually, provided the EMT with the necessary answers and help, and made sure that he was safely transported to our ER center.
Another example was when one of my patients was recently given the wrong script for one of the blood investigations. She caught the error and reported it to me. She also followed up with the patient to make sure that they didn’t do a canceled investigation. These are a few examples of her brilliant professionalism, and she has a very friendly, happy, and caring personality. I wish her all the best in her professional career.
