It is hard to put into words how amazing my nurse Crissand is, every time I come in for my weekly injection. I have never liked shots, but I do enjoy coming in and seeing Crissand because she is very pleasant.

My Nurse Crissand always demonstrates her passion for nursing, when she goes out of her way to research questions I have regarding my health if she is not familiar with it. She always includes my Physician to ensure that I am getting proper care.

As a Transqueer individual, Crissand shows her compassion for nursing when she creates a safe, non-judgmental space for me. Her empathy shines because she acknowledges my insecurities and is sensitive to them, making me feel safe and comfortable.

I know it is impossible for her to always be there for every visit, thought I have full trust in her and her team because of the nurturing ways I know that she will assure I am in good hands. I have seen her pleasantries not only with her patients, but with her co-workers. Her kindness is an admirable attribute and a breath of fresh air.

You can see the true love that she has for the patients and the nursing profession, as her performance as a professional and being overall friendly and kind human spills into her work. There are times that I am late or may not show up to my appointment, but you can always count on Crissand to display selflessness by going above and beyond to reach out and ensure that everything is ok.

All I can say is that Crissand is an exceptional nurse and stands out amongst the rest.
