Empathetic, resilient, compassionate, and patient; these are just a few of the words I would use to describe Cynthia. As first time parents, and my wife having gone through a C-Section, Cynthia was there for us helping us understand everything from surgery recovery to swaddling and feeding a newborn. She patiently checked on us and ensured our same question multiple times. She also used this same kindness on other patients as we had a shared room for two nights. We had a horrible neighbor and while we told Cynthia we could deal with them, she went and advocated for us with the charge nurse. She also helped watch our baby so my wife could walk outside and get some fresh air. Cynthia isn't just a nurse, she treats you like a friend. After giving birth, that kind and compassionate treatment is exactly what you need!
We thoroughly enjoyed Cynthia. It was like we had a family member or a good trusted friend looking after our daughter and me. She was very knowledgeable but brought her humor and light-hearted energy into our recovery room. She had a very positive approach to her job and us… we enjoyed having her around.
Cynthia was and is an extraordinary nurse who took excellent care of me. She also took the time to teach me how to knit because I was very sad and that kept me busy and less stressed, so I'm nominating Cynthia.
