During a hypertensive emergency, SPC Amarales was our “medic” for the shift. She was in the room assisting the LT every 10 minutes, taking vitals per the hypertensive emergency policy, and relaying that information to the providers. SPC Amarales' actions are in keeping with the commitment to clinical excellence and nursing practice.
