Dana was a primary nurse for a patient who recently passed away from breast cancer. Dana had a close relationship with the patient, and I would constantly hear the patient and her family say how much they loved her. Dana would sit down and talk to the patient and actively listen, no matter how busy she was. Dana always made the proper interdisciplinary referrals when it was needed. You could just tell that Dana's compassion and excellent nursing care assisted the patient and her family along their cancer treatment. Dana is an excellent nurse who exuberates compassion and love for her patients.
