We had a very critical patient in CVICU. She was 43 years old with two small children at home. Dani had cared for her several days and had bonded with the husband and parents. She made a card to hang in the patient's room and had the staff all sign it.

Then the patient took a turn for the worse. Dani was caring for the patient during 0700 - 1930. She went home and could not stop thinking about the patient and family. Dani came back to the hospital at 10:00 PM and sat with the family until 01:00 AM. She went above and beyond to provide compassion to this family.
