A 90-year old man arrived to the ED on his birthday very cantankerous and very "needy" and "lonely". Because he was here on his birthday, and lives at home alone, Danielle Hoopingarner knew there would be no one to help him celebrate this momentous day with him.

Danielle arranged for the cafeteria to bring a cupcake to him once he was cleared to eat. When they delivered it, she sang Happy Birthday to him.
