Danielle embodies the role of a transformational leader as an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Kaiser Permanente Fresno Medical Center. She is an authentic and passionate person who communicates well with her staff and other managers. She has been a strong supporter of TEAMStepps and has transformed the speak-up culture within her department by modeling compassion, respect, and mutual support. She is quick to support her staff, works well with surgeons and anesthesia staff, and consistently reaches out to other departments to improve the care for our patients.
For example, Danielle recently reached out to support a new TPMG manager to improve care for our members coming to the Operating Room. Her compassion and leadership abilities have helped the nursing staff in this department gain competencies and skills to further our vision and mission of "extraordinary nursing care- every patient- every time".
Danielle also serves as an example to her peers and staff. She finished her BSN and CNOR National Certification within the last two years. We now have four RN's in an RN to BSN program and obtaining National Certification is now a regular topic of discussion with the staff RNs. Danielle's compassion and leadership abilities have helped the nursing staff in her department further our vision and mission of providing "extraordinary nursing care- every patient- every time."
