Danielle was nominated for the DAISY Award by a patient who had a lengthy stay at the hospital.
This was not as easy thing for me to deal with, but the incredible staff made it so much easier to comprehend and accept, one RN in particular who stood out above the rest, Danielle. When she first walked into the room I was met by her bright smile and a very warm greeting all framed in red hair. She immediately brightened the day, and it never stopped.
Dani was making me feel as if I was dealing with my best friend. She would distribute my medication while sharing recipes for zucchini. She would check monitors while sharing stories about her wiener dog, Binky. In short, she interacted with me in a manner that made me look forward to her visits. There were a couple of times when she was able to stop by the room and just talk, although I'm sure she was doing something else while she was here.
I have met a lot of nurses in her 58 years of life, but I have met very few who exude the natural gift of nursing as Dani does. The staff at Essentia Health is incredible, but Dani stands out a head and shoulder above the rest, you are fortunate to have a gem like Dani serving your patients. Dani is a valuable asset and my stay at your hospital was made all the more comfortable and tolerable because of her.
