Our husband, father, grandfather was here in the hospital for 3 days. We had been told he was not going to make it and that these would be his last days. The way Dayna handled his last days was exemplary. She did everything in her power to make us and him feel comfortable. He was a much-loved man which means there were a lot of us in his room (17 to be exact). Dayna offered us all water and coffee and took us into a conference room so that we all could sit. This gave everyone a chance to spend time and talk to him alone. Dayna really helped us all through those last couple of days which put us all at ease.
Dayna answered all our questions and just listened. She treated him with respect and dignity. She even asked to keep him as a patient on his third day. She cried with our family and truly cared about him. She told us that it was her honor to care for him.
In our opinion, God placed Dayna exactly where He needed her to be. Our husband, father, and grandfather was a one of a kind, amazing man and Dayna is a one of a kind amazing nurse. She made our stay a very good memory of what a nurse should do.
