Deborah Kinne helped me get through hard times. When I came in that day she was very informative about my mom's condition and answered all my questions. I felt she really cared. She was in and out all day updating my daughter and me. When my daughter and I went for supper things changed with my mother's health. By that time there was a shift change, but Deborah met me outside the room and gave us another update.
She said, "She must be a special lady for all the love I see you and your daughter give her." Deborah took the time to listen to me tell her about my wonderful mother. She had tears in her eyes and gave me a hug and said, "Don't give up." Hearing she would be coming back the next day to take care of my mom was music to my ears.
At 1:30 AM the ICU called and said my mom was on life support. The family met in the ICU waiting room. I can't remember if it was before or after my mother passed away but there was Deborah coming through the doors looking for us, asking what happened and how much she was looking forward to taking care of our mother. She gave her condolences with tears in her eyes and gave us all hugs; how sweet. Deborah truly deserves the DAISY Award for her special care and loving concern.
