Wow! From the moment she first came in she made me feel safe and protected. I came in with so much pain and full of unanswered questions. After one night on the unit the Physician wanted to send me home. Debbie knew how uncomfortable, hungry, and in pain I still was and did something not many would do. She became my advocate. She spoke to the doctor in a respectful and professional manner stating she did not agree. She suggested he actually stop in and see how much pain I was in. For that I am so grateful. But it did not stop there! The following day she came in saw that I was still in so much pain, that she began following up with calls. She was able to get the GI person up to see me and within an hour, I finally had answers! If I can finish nursing school and be half the nurse she is I will be proud!!!
