Delaney was the lead nurse for multiple nights we were in Wesley, seeking answers for my 83-year-old father. Even though she was 7 months pregnant, she never acted like it was a burden for her to be caring for our loved one. She never startled my Father in her care, she always addressed him prior to touch and was always gently when swabbing his mouth. Delaney overall has a nursing soul. When our loved one was moved to a different floor, she worked an extra shift on that floor. We were not only happy to see her, but we were also relieved because we knew we could get good rest that night and that Delaney would watch over our loved one. Delaney was also the first staff person in our room after we visited with Hospice. She was well versed in the direction we had chosen for our loved one, and she was a calming presence as the reality of comfort care settled into our souls. My wish would be that Delaney had been our nurse 24/7 for the 2 weeks that we were at Wesley.
