Over the past 6 months, the Dialysis Team at Kaiser Permanente in Panorama City has received numerous acknowledgments and shout outs from patients and staff alike. This dynamic team possesses the much sought after combination of clinical expertise and ability to deliver compassionate care in a collaborative environment. Here are a few examples of what patients and staff are saying about what these nurses do every single day!
"I am pleased to inform you that your staff are excellent workers. They go above and beyond to make patients comfortable. They greet us with a smile. They make our day. I was sick but they made my stay enjoyable. I feel better just by being around your dialysis team. I will never forget the care and treatment I received. Thank you, Kaiser, for a job well done."
"The Dialysis Team has been the same to me for the last 5 months. They are so sweet, loving, caring, and patient. They treat you like you're a human being. P.S., this Dialysis Team should train other sites. They are a godsend!''
"The entire department is wonderful. They are cheerful, professional, and very concerned about your comfort."
"Due to the water shut down at the Woodland Hills Medical Center, all of our dialysis patients were transferred to PC for their treatments. None of us had ever been to PC and were unfamiliar with their dialysis unit. We did not know their workflow process (i.e. paperwork, how to get patients from their rooms, and location of supplies). Everything was foreign to us. The PC Dialysis Team welcomed us and were supportive and attentive to our needs. They were very helpful and went beyond their duties to make us feel at home and comfortable. They were patient with us, answered our questions and we felt like they were part of our family. Their teamwork was impressive and their commitment to providing service to patients was outstanding! We were honored to have had the opportunity to observe their working relationship. Thank you so much!"
So, as you can see, the Dialysis Team exemplifies what it means to be DAISY Nurses and so we congratulate their hard work and dedication to providing extraordinary care by celebrating our first-ever DAISY Team Award!
