My husband has been here at LAC+USC for over a month with many ups and downs and still no answer to why he is so sick. This has been an extremely emotional ride for me and his family. I feel like Diana acknowledged our pain and fears and really tried to help change that. She said she knew how hard this must be and gave encouraging words to help calm me down. She gave a teddy bear for our children who are struggling at home confused as to why daddy isn't home. They are only 1, 3, and 5. Diana put that extra effort in letting me know it will be okay.

Diana has provided exemplary care to our MICU patients for the past 4 years. She is a good listener and her sweet demeanor makes her very pleasant. She is always sweet and kind. She is soft spoken, but an effective communicator and strong patient advocate. Diana is always empathetic to patients, families, and co-workers. She is always determined to help patients, and arranges things to go the extra mile in helping others. Diana consistently provides this type of care with generosity. She truly exemplifies many of the core values of our institution: integrity and dedication in serving the poor. We are very proud of her and thankful for this recognition as a gift to our staff members in our Medical ICU.
Congratulations Diana on receiving the DAISY Award! We are all very proud of you!
