I was in the hospital for a massive heart attack at age 46. My wife was scared, and once I was moved over to the 4E cardiac unit, I was ready to go home to my wife and daughter. Diandra was my nurse and when she walked into my room she walked in with a big smile and instantly made my wife and I feel more comfortable. You could tell she loved her job and had a big heart. Towards the end of the day I got a new roommate who was very loud and it was hard forme to relax and get any sleep. Diandra did everything she could and moved me to a different, quieter room to ensure I was comfortable. She did this all quickly with compassion and professionalism. And not to mention, she did all this while being pregnant. She made my wife and me feel more at ease during this very stressful situation. We were able to talk to her like a close friend or family member. During my discharge from the hospital, she went over everything in great detail to ensure we understood all the medications and the discount we could get on certain meds. Since Diandra went above and beyond for my wife and I the least we could do was to buy her lunch, but she refused. Diandra deserves to be recognized for her devotion, professionalism, and compassion for her patients. She was awesome!
